Im new here and am not sure how these things work but im giving it a shot. Im not really a social butterfly, I spend a lot of time alone with my 10 month old son son and my kitchen. Im hoping that maybe getting "out" and talking to people will at least help with the mental part of losing weight. Im looking to lose about 40 pounds so its gonna be a long uphill battle, and i need all the help i can get. Yeah so thats my big plan in a nutshell:)

Welcome Cassidy!
You will really like it here! I am soo addicted! I plan my meals and snacks out in the a.m.....and pretty much stay on this site all day! Just so I can stay motivated! Constantly checking out things does that to me!0 -
Welcome. Hope you find this website to be a help and encouragement.
I agree with lapach. I also plan all my meals out in the morning. It's much easier to stick to then. That way you don't go over your calories. If things add up to too many calories, you just delete it from the meal. Once it's in your stomach, it's too late!0 -
Thanks for the tip! It does seem to work out better by planning in the morning. I was over my caloric intake when i typed it all in this morning, no wonder it hasnt been working!! Ive been working on another site for about a month and ive gained and lost the same 5 pounds twice:). Im hoping this site is a little easier to navigate. So far so good!0

I love many things about this site. I went to settings and put in my 6 meals, in the order I eat them. I plan 3 meals at 300 calories, 3 snacks at 300 calories and I do 600 to 800 calories a day in exercise (at home on an elliptical machine, weights, DVD's, DDR, and household chores) and I use about 100 of those bonus calories per meal to give a little extra substance to the meals. I love my food really spicy and the extra calories allows me just enough to add salsa and condiments that I might otherwise not be able to eat. I stick to about 1500 calories a day, even though I get maybe 1800 or more. By being truthful and logging everything, I've learned where to cut back and still get the same enjoyable meal.0
