Hello everyone, I'm new to this. I'm Kathy.
I need to lose weight, a lot of it!!!
I am 64, retired nurse, I don't want to join a gym so I started walking 20 min everyday. I love this app so I just need to track everything I eat.
I am embarrassed to say I weigh 318 lbs.
I need all the help I can get!!!

welcome. i didn't join a gym either. I walked, and then walked more. and then walked more. Get yourself a HRM, even for walking, it will keep you a bit more accurate. Get a food scale, weigh everything, and then log everything! at over 300, you can most likely eat more than what mfp recommends, even though your metabolism is likely slowing.
Don't let your age be a barrier. its doable. it will not come off as quickly as you want, you are looking at probably 2 years to lose 150 (assumption) but consider where you would rather be in 2 years, same place surrounded by all your excuses or lighter and stronger (mentally and physically)?
You will stumble, all that matters is you get back on track.0 -
Thank you for your words of encouragement !!0
