 Ok....so if the truth be told, I started this fitness/weightloss/ best shape of my life quest because I am getting my "41 year old, nursed 2 kids, use to be a full C, now a deflated B" boobs fixed up:laugh: AND I wanted to be in the best shape before I had surgery.
So.....I am finally booking my surgery date for the end of August. I am so excited but also HATE the fact that I can't workout several weeks after.

Any of you gals out there who have had them done, could you tell me realistically, how long I will have to wait. My Doctor said 6-8 weeks? fyi.... I am only getting implants, not a lift. Just filling the girls back up

No idea about this, but you should still be able to walk, right? Walking is great exercise. Sure, it may not keep your arms toned as you want them to be, perhaps... but it'll keep any extra weight off, so long as you eat reasonably.

I get it. Since my youngest was born I have wanted to do it. Never a priority. Now, we are able to do it, financially, and my Fab Hubby said go for it.

This is sooo my plan. I am going to shed the body fat down to 12% so I look all lean and athletic with that 6-pack poppin' out. And then I will go visit the doctor for the set of boobs that I desire, cause these little flat A cups are not making me happy.

I would go by what your doctor said! You don't want to take the chance of something going wrong. If you are already at your goal weight, then you should concentrate on keeping your diet on track.

My friend Tami had a surgery that prevented her from exercising as well. Her surgery was different, but it was still 2 months without working out. So she dialed in on her diet and moved more...walking, going up stairs instead of elevators, etc...and her physique still looked great when she could go back to her workouts. She may have lost a little muscle definition, but honestly, I think she was the only one that noticed, lol.

Yes, I can walk after 2 weeks. I will just have to be very diligent about my food.

Thanks Girls. I was afraid to post this thread and have all the "hate mail" from peeps who don't agree with Boob Jobs :)
I suppose I need to just keep in mind that it's a temporary break in my usual workout routine.
    Thanks again:heart:

I had a breast reduction - which is obviously different than your surgery. But, my doctor told me NO exercise for at least a month. That you want to make sure you heal correctly. I would listen to your doctor's recommendations. I tried to go mall walk with my mom after 2 weeks and all I managed to do was irritate the stitches and make myself hurt.

    Follow his guidelines. :)

I just wanted to also add, you may be able to go a little bit earlier. My mom had the surgery after losing 115 pounds (hers were "deflated" too, haha). She said it didn't even hurt because the skin wasn't actually getting stretched out, just sort of filled back up. I'd always ask your doctor, though. :)

    Big boobs are so overrated.

Even when I shrunk myself to a ridiculous 102lbs I was still almost a D-cup. When I'm certain that I don't want to have any more kids I'm downsizing. Boobs are way too high maintenance.

I would get those smaller too. :flowerforyou: My best friend is 96 pounds (she's always been small) but she wears a DD cup (they are natural). She also has back and hip problems and takes medicine for pain.

I personally don't want big boobs. I want feminine boobs, not miniature man-boobs like these A cups I've had since puberty. I plan on getting a large B or a small C. Just something that will take my self-confidence to a higher level. And it's all for ME, not to impress anyone out there, and certainly not so nasty guys will stare at me.

My sister had hers done a number of years ago (went from an A cup to C cup) and she was in terrible pain and bound up in compression bandages for a little while. You won't WANT to be doing anything for the first two weeks, from the sound of it. Just enjoy being able to do this for yourself and ease back into things when you can!

On a side note: I'm a B cup, almost 41 years old, have never had children, so the girls are like steel - my only complaint is that the left one is so noticeably larger. But I don't have the nerve for surgery! I respect those ladies who do go through with it. I just had my first mammogram though, which was extremely unpleasant BECAUSE they are like steel (I was rudely informed by the technician that that was the price I had to pay for being so "perky" at my age.) After they told me what they had to do to the ladies with implants to get a clear reading, any impulse I might have had left drained right out of me.......
