I just wanted to post my rant like some others. If your weight is plateaued these sting you as well

I am tired of reading your not losing because your not exercising.
Your not losing because your not dedicated.
Calories in, calories out. It's that easy.
To lose increase your exercise routine
Eat more that's why your not losing

I have no problem exercising, but the weight just will not drop. I do at least 90 minutes a day. I am following p90x fat shred level 3

    Hi,

I don't know much about P90X except that it asks that you eat protein, carbs and fats in certain percentages at different phases. I believe that what you eat is just as important as how you exercise.

However, I also am led to believe that P90X builds muscle, so maybe you should be figuring out your body fat to muscle gain instead of weight.

    Just a suggestion.

    Good luck!

I have a friend doing P90x and he said there was a specific diet that came with it...when I asked about it, he said it was a lot of "green leaves" (he doesn't care for vegetables so he's really struggling with changing his diet). I took a peek at your diary and saw lots of great protein intake, but not many vegetables, at least for today...

I don't know anything about the P90x program, but I know that my weight loss really took off when I added lots of vegetables (yes, they're carbs, but they are "good" carbs) to my daily eating plan and started watching my sodium intake. I also drink lots and lots of water. Everyone's weight loss happens differently, but hopefully you'll find some good suggestions at MFP and move on from that plateau!

Try taking body measurements around your torso, arms, etc. That may show what you're really losing. P90X will certainly build muscle, good job sticking with that!

You are right. Sometimes you are doing everything 'right' but the scale simply will NOT move. I looked at your diary and your eating looks great. The only advice I have is for you to do something DIFFERENT, (even if it seems wrong - like lower intensity of exercise, rest more, etc. - just to see what happens). We are all individuals and even though macro advice works for most of us, there are anomalies in all of us, too. The important thing is to concentrate on fitness and feeling good and not giving up on your goals.

Just an observation (not necessary the reason): I see lots of process food, too much protein shake (ouch), high sodium. Skipping meals quite often (unless you are not logging them all).

I took a look at your diary and noticed you're over most days on your sodium. I know it's hot and you need sodium if you're sweating a lot, but it does make you retain water. Also, drinking water helps you lose weight, but you don't have to drink so much it makes you feel bloated. One other thing I would do is drop the calorie level. Yours does seem to be a bit high. Try it for a week or two to see what happens. Would love to be able to to P90X! Stick with it!
