doing this again

I've decided to start all over again, like new. I found this site a couple of years ago. I weighed 148, lost 10 lbs over about 9-10 months, somehow wasnt happy at that weight, couldnt get to 135 which was my goal and for some reason lost interest and gained it all back. So i have signed up with a new name, and I am going to do this again. I've noticed this same this happened to several other women on here who were similar in age and weight. So I am going to lose the 10 lbs again and learn to maintain my weight at 140 lbs. Wish me luck and perseverence!

Maybe I am a little dense here, but why the new name and new start? I get why people keep the MFP....because it works0

Simply to inspire a new mind set for myself, it may seem silly, but I need a new start.0 -
I do wish you luck and perseverence! :flowerforyou:
I was thinking that we've all been in similar situations with our weight.......spending years trying and giving up. One thing I love about MFP (although there are many mnay things I love) is the amount of knowledge and education you can get regarding fitness, weight loss, etc.
I definitely came from the thinking that if I just ate less, I'd lose! Well, I quickly found out how that is not true, you must eat to lose or the body will hang onto it's fat stores and your metabolism will drop. :grumble:
I've also learned not to cling to a set number on the scale, but rather notice my body and what it feels like, So many of us who have under or over eaten during our lives have lost the ability to feel true hunger signals....I had to relearn that too. :blushing:
So here's to all of us starting again, learning again! It can be done :smooched:0 -
It is never too late for a new start! Good luck to you! Stick with it...it works slowly but surely!0

Welcome back!
I just rejoined MFP again. I think that the accountability will surely help you reach your goals. You've taken the first step by simply signing up and for that you should be commended. Congrats!0
