Whats up Fitness community! So I am 18, standing at 5,7, and weight around 216. I have drank 1 gallon of water for the last week, and I play baseball. Baseball takes up about 3 days of the week. I unload and pull stuff from trucks at walmart. I am on my feet for 8 hours a day at work. My phone says i burn around 1500-1700 calories friday-sunday. My question to yall is why am I not losing but gaining weight? With all the water and not taking in to many calories on big meals I assume with my life style I should be losing weight. Sometines after work i come home around 11ish and I drink a glass of milk or Sunni D along with maybe 10 crackers.

When I was down to about 200lbs I stopped losing weight like I did before. I think your body might just be getting used to what you're doing. Resistance, muscle confusion..try those. I met a Marine who told me the same thing that you start to not lose weight. He just said to keep going and it happens eventually. Hope this helps. Don't stop!0

If the weekend job is what you think is going to cause you to lose weight, you are mistaken. You will lose weight if you get in and stay in a calorie deficit. Accurately measure and log all your food. Learn not to trust the food database here. Learn how to trust the food database here. Please learn that you could up your water to 2 gallons daily and it would make no difference in your weight after a morning visit to the toilet. The way you lose weight is by consuming fewer calories eating and drinking than you burn in living and doing day after day for weeks and months with few and rare days of being briefly in calorie surplus.0

If you are gaining, that means you are eating a surplus of calories.
To lose weight, it all depends on eating fewer calories than you burn. Do you measure your food with a food scale? Are you using accurate entries in MFP?0 -
How many calories are you eating a day and how are you measuring them?0

Around 1800-2000 just depends

I dont measure my food. I do though on homemade meals measure my food and add uo the calories in a serving0

Weigh your food on a kitchen scale (Walmart and other places have them) so you can log it in in the diary. That is how to lose weight.
The phone and other apps over estimate -- so we cannot count on them.
Drinking a lot of water does not do anything for weight loss. About 8 cups of water is fine.0
