Hi,
I'm new to this so hi! This has probably been asked a million times but how many of you eat some or all of your exercise calories? I feel it makes sense not to touch them but I'd like to get your opinion? x

Well it's up to you and your personal goals, if your looking to maintain a calorie deficit for weight loss don't compensate for exercise calories, if your looking to maintain or gain weight..eat!0

Yes it comes up several times a day - the search function works by the way.
Yes you should be eating them as that's how this site works and your calorie goal assumes you will, whether losing, maintaining or gaining weight.

If you aren't losing weight over an extended period of time then your food logging is more likely to be the problem.
You will have to account for exercise calorie expenditure at your goal weight so learn the skill now.1 -

MFP sets you up to lose without exercise, so you're already in a deficit. It's expected to eat a portion of them back to both fuel your body and keep said deficit consistent.1 -

When I was on a mission to lose my first 15 kg, I only ate half my exercise calories back.
These days I eat most of them.
The only time I might not eat my exercise calories is if I have a particularly sedentary day ... maybe only a short 2km walk or something. Otherwise, I need the fuel.1 -
I eat back about 50% of my exercise calories, not always but frequently enough. I've lost 92lbs since Oct. Your body is going to probably get more hungry if you workout a ton, you're burning extra calories to fuel those exercises, so eating some back is natural to do. As long as you're weighing your food and staying in a deficit, you're fine.1
