so i'm starting to think that JM's 30day shred will get me like right to my goal, i probably won't weigh my goal of 135 BUT i think i will look how i want to look and if not i'll be darn close. are there any special weights or equipment needed for that? i've never done it before. would i be able to do it every other day? or should i do it like 5 or 6 days a week? i know i won't be up to doing it 30 days in a row so i think i'm going to try everyother day... i might even do it twice depending on how i look after the first time. also i don't have much room in my apartment but i've learned to deal and make space. anyone have any thoughts?

Hi! For the shred you will need hand weights and a mat for floor exercises. I use 5 lb weights but used 3 lb weights for the first couple of days.
It's a great work out.0 -
you need small hand weights, and a mat if your working out on a hard surface, and you don't need much room...im on level 2 now and i think its great, i do it every day and can see changes and feel much stronger0

This was the workout that got me into shape! To start out, I did 6 days a week (I felt like my body needed one day a week to recover). To maintain, I did every other day. My weights were only 1.5 pounds and I still saw noticeable difference without feeling like I was killing myself. You don't need a mat if you have carpet. I bought a mat and never used it. This is was worked for me but every person is different. My friend could only do it every other day from the start. Just experiment and see what works best for YOU!0

I used the weights that look kind of like mini dumbbells. And yes, you can get weights and mat (if needed) at Wal-mart).0 -
Instead of hand weights I use canned goods I am on level 3 and never used a floor mat.0

I did the Shred and used 2 pound then 3 pound hand weights..no mat b/c i was on carpet...and my family room is very small and i was still able to do it...As long as you have room to do jumping jacks, and pushups, you should be fine...I got everything i needed at Walmart....Good luck! it's a great, fast workout!0
