Ladies, what do you do if you don't like to sweat/shower everyday?

I also take cool showers because I have a vascular disorder that reacts to heat.0

I'm someone who is a sweater no matter what I do so I have to wash everyday, sometimes twice and I have to wash my hair everyday as it's short and very thin like baby hair and washing it is the only thing that helps keep it healthy (I know that sounds weird but it's true). I do sometimes notice that my skin and my hair dries out, especially now as it's summer and I get really warm and I usually lather myself with baby oil for my skin and coconut oil for my hair which usually helps. If baby oil doesn't help then I usually get E45 cream which really does the trick and gets rid of the dry skin itches too3

If I'm not exercising / getting sweaty or need a shower for some specific reason, I only shower every 2 or 3 days. I'm just not a naturally sweaty or smelly person. My husband thinks that's crazy because he'd stink if he didn't shower every day (twice a day if we're going out in the evening), but he can't tell whether I've showered this morning or two days ago.
I never knew you have to wait until you stink to shower.......
And OP, there are a LOT of good lotions and conditioners that will protect and moisturise your skin and hair - Unless you have a serious skin condition, it is very common to shower once or even twice a day....3 -

Who says you have to wait until you stink? My point is that I can shower every second or third day and NOT ever smell bad or be sweaty. Not everybody needs to shower every day, and in fact lots of people don't.1 -

I agree. I just shower daily because I like it. Showering daily isn't a necessity for everyone.1 -
I like feeling (and BEING) clean....Not showering for three days just because you don't smell bad is not one of the things I aspire to in life......3

It's not bad to not shower everyday. If you don't smell or have skin issues then you are fine. It depends on the person. For some people it's healthier not to shower as much. As long as you shower regularly, it doesn't have to be daily.
Also not sure if I said this. I like Andalou Naturals Lavender and Thyme Shower Gel.1 -
I am the same way, I HAVE to feel fresh & clean all day. I usually pull my hair up and shower after my workout, I only wash my hair like 2x a week unless something special is happening. I found the more water I drink, the healthier my skin is.1

this sounds gross but I have SUPER thick hair and it's not good to wash it everyday...but I do workout 6 days a week. I will workout with a bun but then dry out the sweat with a hair dryer on the cool setting and wash it once every 3 days, and just take a bath when I don't wash it. I use the "PSSST" Dry shampoo for in between days. Like I said, my hair is really uber duber thick but this works for me.1

I put my hair in a shower cap when I shower and use dry shampoo later. My hair gets really nasty if I was it daily with like sores and crap. I just put it up when I work out too.0

 People please shower.3

If I don't want to wash my hair, I just rinse it. If I don't want to get it wet, it goes up in a bun and I use a shower cap. Then I might use a dry shampoo on it after if it seems "yucky" still.
But a shower every day is a must I have to shower after I work out, even if it's a rinse.2 -
I'm a head sweater. I suck it up and just wash my stuff everyday. Probably why I like to keep my hair so short. Although, I will admit that yesterday I took a "pool bath." lol1

Shower caps, Co-wash (conditioner) dry shampoo, quick water rinse... It depends how sweaty I am.
If you MUST use shampoo, opt for sulfate free, soapnuts or dilute your regular shampoo with water.

Watch that dry shampoo. I was using the Dove brand kind and noticed it was making my scalp burn. Then I noticed the first ingredient, no lie, is butane and the second is propane.

Most people around you might have the need to be around clean people..... Shower and bathing do not kill people or make you sick - that was the believe in medieval times......

Haha! As long as the unshowered aren't anywhere near me then I don't care what others do.
I always go straight home after the gym to shower, but if I have to go to the grocery store I'll go on my way home all sweaty on purpose. That way people don't stand rightontopofmeandinmypersonalspace in the checkout line. HATE when people do that. Sometimes being smelly serves a purpose.3 -
Lots of judgy shower patrol people on here, lol. You really truly don't need to shower everyday for health/cleanliness reasons. Also, everyone is different, some people are profuse sweaters/stinkers and others are not. If you shower every day, good for you. If you don't shower every day, good for you. Lol

Hahaha yes well said!0 -
She showers at least a couple times a week. People are acting like she showers once a month. Or in midieval times twice a year or something. Hard to take this seriously.1
-
Yeah, people. How could all you Shower McShowersons make people who shower less feel bad. Shower Shamers!
Shower cap or bun. And lots of moisturizer because there is no way in hell I'm skipping a shower if there is running water in the immediate vicinity.0 -
You could just do a sponge bath on your sweatiest bits or get a shower head that has a handheld shower so you can just wash off certain areas.
Don't use shampoo or soap on your whole body every day. Just rinse with water.
Use a moisturizing shampoo or cleanser if you have dry skin or hair. I use Noxema on my face.
I shower or bathe every other day unless I have been doing something dirty like yard work or have been absolutely drenched in sweat. My workouts don't leave me drenched with sweat usually.0 -

I don't think they are being horribly mean or anything. I just thought maybe they weren't being serious and were just pretending to be more horrified than they are. I guess they aren't. I guess I just don't understand. First world problems and stuff. Lol0
