Hi,

I'm 3 weeks in and would like your advice to make sure I eat enough.

I'm 5'10" (178 cm) and 320 lbs (145 kg), 30 years old male, sedentary, no known diseases. MFP says I need 2800 calories to maintain weight or 1900 to lose 2 lbs/week.

Can't share my diary as it is filled with non-English text, but please find some stats here. Common foods are vegetables, bread, rice/pasta, eggs, milk, fish & lean meat. Cut off snacks, sugars and fast food for now.

My average is 1500 calories and I've recently lost appetite. There's a lot going on beneath the surface--depression and other troubles. In the past 4 days I have been forcing myself to eat. What's a safe minimum I should meet to avoid having things slow down?

Thanks,
Adam

Though I would recommend finding out what your BMR is and trying not to eat below that.

You might like to look at what you are eating as well as how much - full fat dairy instead of low fat for example, or use olive oil in dressing on your salads or in roasted veggies. Add a bit of peanut butter or avocado to your meals.
You don't have to bump up the bulk if you aren't feeling like eating a lot, you can look at the quality and the calorie density of what you are eating.
Good luck, I hope things start looking better for you.
