Logging Stair-climbing via "MapMy[x]" Apps

Anyone seem to have an issue logging stair-climbing with an app like MapMyWalk, MapMyFitness, etc.? I just did 20 flights and then walked down them. The app only logged .1 miles in 10 or so minutes, so my pace looks extraordinarily slow and it says I only burned 31 calories. I'm not sure if there's a better way to use the app to re-log this or if I should just do it manually. What do you all think? Is this a pretty accurate calorie burn for this activity? Thanks in advance.

31 calories for 10 minutes of exercise doesn't sound too off to me.

    Thanks! I wasn't sure. I guess I just felt so challenged I thought it'd be more :'(

I would say the calories burned is right for those numbers. If you were to WALK .1 miles in 10 mins it would only burn 31 calories. To me that sounds right.

But not for 20 flights of stairs up and down. No way is that right.

I run the parking garage stairwell every Wednesday for 40 minutes, use a chest strap heart rate monitor and UA record to track it...according to my tracker that would be low...but I've haven't really looked at my calorie burn during the 1st 10 minutes..once my heart rate gets up to zone 4 or 5 is when I burn the most....
