Starting my weight loss journey

Hi. I'm Micky, a 33 year old self employed person from Vancouver Canada.
I have been a yo yo diet type of person and lost 60-70llbs only to gain it back multiple times. I have been overweight for 5-6 years now and am currently 257.6lbs. I just started with a trainer and have been lifting for over a year but not consistently. I have also hired a nutrition coach and am very serious to get to my goal weight of 180lbs at 10% body fat (am 6'3) in 8 months by March 6 2017. After that my goal is to work towards entering a body building competition but first thing is first.

You will do it. I like lifting weights but being a girl feel unconfortable at the gym unless i have a workout partner.1

You said it yourself in your thread title: journey. This is a journey, not a destination. Keep that in mind, I think that's why most people yo-yo. They set a goal, hit it, then go right back to what got them into trouble in the first place because they told themselves they were "done". You're never done. Its a lifelong journey that you will be on. You'll have good days and bad, ups and downs, successes and set-backs, but its the journey that matters, not the destination.
Set small goals to mark your way along the path, like losing 5 lbs, or getting under 200, or needing to buy a new pair of pants, or whatever. And feel free to reward yourself along the way: a new pair of shows for training, new workout clothes that fit better (as you slim down), maybe a bike or a fitness tracker watch... you name it. Some of your goals are ambitious and long term, and I'd hate for you to get discouraged along the way.
and @KAWittler1970, girls can TOTALLY work out with weights at the gym! If you feel uncomfortable at your gym, then you new a new gym pronto! I don't know anyone that would give a woman a hard time that lifted weights. It is more and more common every day. Real women lift weights, bro!1
