Hey, so as my title says I'm Johnny and for about three weeks now I've been on a low carb diet. I started up at 309.2 lbs with about 41% fat and am now at 279 lb with about 34.4% fat. So needless to say I've have fantastic results so far. My ultimate goal is to get down to about 200 lbs even.
My experience with this low carb diet has been great.
As many will say the first few days are by far the worse. For me it was the first two days, under 15g carbs, no artificial sweeteners, no energy drinks (which sucked because they finally started selling my favorite one again after a two year break). But I was determined to stick with this diet because of the amount of weight I had read people lost. So I did and half way through day three while I was at work, it felt almost like a switch was flipped. I felt normal again. I wasn't feeling hungry, tired, or grumpy. I felt better than before too because It was consistent how I felt. It wasn't me being hyper for an hour and then dozing off until I "refueled" with an energy drink.
So what have I been eating and drinking?
With drinks, I've been drinking 1 gallon of water a day at least. I actually use the gallon water bottles now. I buy 7 of them at a time at the grocery store.
Breakfast: I'll usually have either 3 medium hard boiled eggs, 2 large hard boiled eggs, or an Atkins shake.
Lunch: I'll have which ever I didn't have for breakfast, if I had a shake I'll have eggs for lunch and vise versa.
Dinner: I've been enjoying the Atkins meals. They taste great, they're filling, and helps me easily keep all my nutrients balanced.
When I get home from work: I'll usually have 4oz of ground beef maybe with a couple sliced jalapenos or a slice of cheese on it.. (this is to make sure I keep my calories up to a safe daily level...plus the beef is 0 carbs ^_^)
My bill for a week is just shy of $40.
And that's what I've been up to for my first 3 weeks.
I feel fantastic, I can clearly see a difference in my physical appearance as well as feel the difference in my energy levels.
*BTW the Body Fat % comes from my home scale, It may not be 100% correct but it does give me a consistent number to follow.

Just wanted to update on this. I'm still sticking with it and am about to hit the 250s. I still feel great and my meals for the most part have remained the same. Once a week I've started making a special meal that is a little more than my average. But still under my carb and calories budget. I also make sure it's not too large in size.
According to the app I should be around 235 in 5 weeks.0
