Hey Guys, I’m Flemming and I’m a newbie on this board.
About myself. Well, for starters I’m male, Danish, 35 years old and I’m overweight. My current weight is 123kg (about 271 lbs) and I’m 195 cm (6’ 4”) tall. So that leaves my BMI in the Obese category I think.
I’ve been overweight my entire life, and my problem is that I really love food, therefore I tend to overeat.
My maximum weight ever was 142 kg (about 313 lbs). Back then I lost 35 kg (77 lbs), but slowly gained it all back. So when I reached the 140kg mark again, I lost another 24 kg (53 lbs) and then began taking on weight yet again. Therefore, dieting doesn’t provide the entire solution for me.
So when I reached 128kg, I started a different approach, and I think this is what’s going to change me for good. But, so far I’ve only lost about 5 kg (11 lbs) – So that’s hardly anything to brag about. Still, I feel that I’m heading in the right direction. I don’t set any goals because goals seem to demoralize me, but I would love to go below 100kg at some point.
When It comes to working out, I do about 40 minutes of cardio/weight training three times a week. I usually start out with ten minutes on the rotary/cardio machine. Then I do 5 minutes on the rowing machine. Then do my weight sets, which is mostly aimed at my core or the major muscle groups. I finish up by going all in on the rowing machine, and then do stretches.
I love to walk, and I lost a lot of weight by doing that. But nowadays, I just don’t have the time for long walks, since my kids aren’t old enough for a good long hike.
The only supplements I use are fish oil tablets for Omega 3, and coconut oil because of too many reasons. Coconut oil is a superfood.
So, I hope to share my journey down and read about your lives as well. Hopefully We’ll get some good sparring going on.
