edited September 2024 in Introduce Yourself
Hi! Erm, I'm terrible with introductions, I really am. I first joined here a couple of months ago after becoming quite self conscious about my weight, which hasn't been helped by a rather lax diet due to university, and the fact my son usually eats at nursery, which means I'll usually grab something on the go, rather than cooking for myself alone. I'm, rather unfortunately pear shaped, which has left me with (in UK measurements) a size 16 backside, a size 12 - 14 waist, and a size 10 - 12 top.

I've probably said too much already, but anyway. Hi!

I was a mother of 4 and now everyone is gone. I live alone but still cook for myself and eat at the kitchen table every night. It is very therapeutic to cook. Cooking for one is fun because you don't have to modify anything for anyone else. You can make what you like and make it healthy. Maybe some nights you could invite a friend. Eating out will sabotage any diet.

Wow, that must be some transaction, having to feed so many fewer mouths. I'm trying to get into thiis whole meal planning thing, but it's hard to find the motivation to cook at half seven, which is when I get in. Might start prepping dinner before I go, so I just have to cook or warm it up when I've got my son to bed.
