I am trying to gain and keep on a couple of pounds before my birthday in a few months and nothing seems to be working for me. I don't have an appetite when there is food to eat but yet when I start cooking I am starving... is there any like magic pill that I could take to help me get hungry and stay hungery? I am at a loss and I already consume 4000 calories a day and I do strengthening workouts not cardio .

Move less or eat more. Drink your calories. Eat handfuls of nuts throughout the day or nut butters. You can easily make 1500 calories shakes with whole milk and nut butters/ olive or coconut oils. Are you sure you're eating 4000 cals? People tend to understimate if they're not gaining weight3

Are you sure it's 4000 calories? I am consuming 4000 calories and bulking and that is a lot of food to take in. Unless you are doing cardio until you nearly drop dead that seems a little skewed. You don't mean kilojoules do you? 1 calorie = 4.18 kilojoules.0
