Hi all. After a break of a few years I finally came back to the app. Just wondering if anyone on here has an ileostomy and if so any tips to help the app work best.
Thanks.

Hopefully never! How is your health? Just looking for any tips. I find if Crohns is bad I tend to stick with carbs like toast and crackers which don't help the waistline

I'm doing ok at the moment. Not great but not bad. I'm on Remicade and imuran so I'm getting neverending infections. I have fistulas so I will probably get a temp ileostomy in the not so distant future (been on Remicade for a year and 6 months and it hasn't closed them yet). My food intake is opposite of what most people consider healthy. I can't do most fruits and veggies, fiber, whole grains, nuts, seeds, legumes and spices as they all are triggers for me.

I was on Remicade a few years back but it stopped working unfortunately. Fistulas are awful aren't they. I had to have a hysterectomy last year due to some going from bowel to womb. I find losing weight very hard with an Ileostomy because, like you, I can't have most fruit, veg, nuts etc. I use the nutribullet alright but it's hard to just have that as a meal. I love food too much lol!! Having a bad week with joint pain so all I want to do is comfort eat.
