Hi everyone! I'm a 26 year old female, 5'7 and 240 pounds, which puts me at almost 50% body fat! I need to lose 100+ pounds. I've been obese my whole life. I've tried eating healthy and exercise, water fasting, weightloss drugs, you name it for the last 10 years, with some success, but as soon as I get to a goal I cut myself some slack and BAM my addiction monster is unleashed and I gain it all back and more. I'm only 5 pounds under my highest weight after losing 35 pounds over the last year. I was in a car accident (my fault) and broke my hip so I've been sitting all day for 3 months with my body craving calories for healing and my addiction monster hungrier than ever. I caved and spun out of control and have gained 20 pounds since my accident. I can't work in my previous field anymore (do to injury and personal choice) and have limited job skills and experience, I have no money no car or possessions and am living off of assistance and the blessing of a true friend. So now more than ever I need to turn my life around and start from scratch yet again! I know my body cannot process carbs healthily at ALL. Im sensitive to dairy, grains, high carb veggies, and all forms of sugar, even fructose. So I've been attempting, and so far, failing a whole30 keto lifestyle change and commitment. I'm still not able to walk without assistance much less do impact exercise, and I live in interior alaska with the warm months nearly over. This is my ground zero at this point. I'm so glad that I've found these tools and this community to help me transform my life! I'll keep trying no matter what. Every time I fail I learn something new. I'm determined to succeed!

Hi I’ve just started doing the Atkins diet (first week today) as I need to lose 80+ pounds. It’s like the whole30 but with far less restrictions. It took me about 3-4 days (on 20 carbs a day) to get into ketosis. So this might be an alternative if your finding the whole30 too severe and you are in ketosis.
