My boyfriend eats around 3500+ calories a day. His meals consist of:
Breakfast: 10 eggs whites 3 packs of oatmeal
Snack: 8oz chicken and a sweet potato Snack: protein shake with a pack of oatmeal
Lunch: 10oz chicken, 2 cups rice, grilled veggies
Snack: yogurt and a protein shake with oatmeal
Dinner: 10oz chicken and a large regular potato
He worksout for 1.5+ hours (6 days a week) and drinks a protein shake with oatmeal after.. Then drinks another shake before bed.
We live in Louisiana and he works in the oil field, he has a pretty active job, with Louisiana heat he has struggled with continuing to gain! He is going on a job in Wyoming for 3 months, the heat wont be as bad obviously but he will be twice as active at work.. Basically 8+ hours of straight cardio.. He still tries to maintain similar diet and still hits the gym while he's there, but last time he dropped like 20 lbs! He has worked so hard for his progress and he's afraid it happens again. He knows he needs to up his calorie and carb Intake obviously, beings he will be burning more, but you can only eat so much!!
Anyone have any tips or advice? We would appreciate it!!

Eat higher calorie food.
Peanut butter, ice cream, doughnuts come to mind as easy calories.

If you google "clean bulk" you will find some lists that might help add some calories and variety (other lean meats like pork and lowfat beef cuts, fish, nuts, avocado, fruit).
A homemade gainer shake with protein powder, peanut butter, and lower sugar fruits might also help get the calories down easier.1 -

Clean bulk is considered when one controls their calorie intake but not necessarily what some consider "clean foods", even though there is no true definition of clean foods.
Dirty bulk is considered when one doesnt have a limit on the amount of their calories.
I mention since OP hubs has some sort of restrictions on what he wants to eat.1 -
eat the whole egg instead of tossing the good part. Branch out from chicken and eat tastier fattier meats. A good steak with nice marbling will have more calories than a super lean chicken breast. Stop limiting yourself to 10oz of chicken for dinner.
If you are losing weight you just need to eat more calories. How "clean" your food is doesn't matter. Eliminate the artificial restrictions on diet and he should be able to maintain his weight with only a little effort.0
