Hello everyone... I've used MFP on and off for a few years and have decided to give myself a kick to get into shape, reduce my weight into a healthy zone.
I'm 5'3" and 86kilo (190 lbs) I'm 46 and really want to get into shape and loose 10kg. 16kg would be fabulous, but I think 10kg is more realistic.... lets see.
I have a few health issues... I have IBS and can not eat raw foods with too much fibre as I have big problems digesting it and it causes me a lot of discomfort.
Secondly I have hashimotos so my thyroid isn't doing what it 'should' be doing.... I see a doctor regularly and my blood levels are stable with Levothyroxine.
Lastly I am allergic to tree fruits (its an extension of an allergy to tree and grass pollens) so having a nice salad or bowl of fruit isn't an option for me. I do eat berries - usually in home made smoothies so I don't have a problem with the digestion.
The last year has been very stressful as we have been building a new house and although I cook about 90% of what we eat from scratch I when I'm tired I don't always make the best choices and the draw of a glass of red wine and chocolate at the end of a hard day is often too much to resist.
I've linked my new fabulous electronic scales and my FitBit to my account and will make a BIG effort to log foods - My diary is open to read. Any advice, tips, diary criticism, friend requests welcome.
