I may. I may also wait. I saw both the originals in theaters and of course will be comparing.

that guy on reddit who leaked the plot months ago seems to have been right on the money about everything, so no. it looks painfully unfunny too.

Errrr this makes me sad. I haven't seen the leaked script but Melissa McCarthy is one of my favs so I'll still go. :/

@_A_Real_Mouthful Bridesmaids was absolute gold. She's been hilarious in everything I've seen her in so I'm crossing my fingers for the best  . If it's absolutely terrible you get to say I told you so.

i loved her in bridesmaids, that movie in general was just great, but i guess that type of humor just doesn't carry over to a ghostbusters type of movie.

supposedly in this one, she's one of those characters where you're just like, "why would anyone ever actually be this person's friend in real life" because she's so annoying, whereas in Bridesmaids she had some redeeming qualities.

I have to disagree with you both bridesmaids was not funny and kind of painful to watch. I will agree with you @_A_Real_Mouthful it seems she trying too hard to be funny with the movies she is picked for.

really? i died in that scene when she argues with that teenage girl in the store.

The only funny part of the movie is when her roommates sister starts pouring frozen peas on her back.

I guess I have more of a dark or dry sense of humor.

    Edit for add.

I thought that I liked Melissa McCarthy, turned out I liked Sookie St James! Actually, I love all things Gilmore! McCarthy just seems to be a one trick pony...think Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler...initially funny, but quickly becomes boring and repetitive!
I truly do hope that this movie proves me wrong because I loved the original! Either way, I will wait for the home video!

Probably. If my kids want to see it.. It's less than $6 for matinee shows here... so why not. Not sure when though.

I have to admit that I don't remember a thing about the original movies though so that might help (even though I watched them so many times as a kid. Odd).

I would definitely not have bothered if the reviews were bad, but they're not so... it's something to do (and it's been a LONG summer already).

I'll watch it online. I'm too scared to pay for it.
