60 Days Down, Small Goal Achieved!

60 days ago to the day, I embarked on a new journey. This journey was for me to not only lose weight but for so much more. I am becoming healthy, active, fit and most importantly...happy. My goal was to lose 30 lbs in 60 days before I went on a trip to Florida. I leave for that trip tonight and I can happily say that I have reached that goal (-30.2 lbs) and I am proud of that. It hasn't been easy and it will only get harder, but I am finally doing this. This is something I have tried and failed so many times...not this time. This is a life change. I am going to celebrate for a week and may gain a lb or two on my vacation, but ah well. I can lose it when I am back. These side by side photos show the difference so far. The only place I have seen much change is in the face....but notice this. My smile. I am happier. I feel like I look so much better just because my smile is genuine. Happiness is worth this battle!

Great work. Definitely see the difference. I expect you'll be getting all kinds of questions about how and what and how much and how much more...0

Thanks @Ty_Floyd . I am open to answering questions from anyone.
I still have about 70 lbs to go to meet my first goal. That would mean that I have lost 100 lbs. Then to be not overweight, I will still need to lose about 20 more lbs. I did this by using MFP to track calories, very accurately. I drink a gallon of water a day, most days more. I also walk 3 miles first thing every morning or right after work in the evenings. That's it. I haven't done any other kind of exercises. I plan to eventually because I want to try and be tone. Though I know I can't avoid loose skin, if it is going to be there, it is going to be there, I would like to try and have as little as I can. Gym membership will be in my near future.5 -

You only used walking as your exercise?
I'm new to this and if I knew getting up and walking each morning would help that's amazing.. You can add me if you'd like. I would like the encouragement1 -
@susi819 - Thank you very much! I will enjoy it!
@msanc095 - Thank you, it has not been easy, but I have set my mind to it and I refuse to fail.
@nowine4me - YES!
@lorilynn33 - Yes, I get up and walk every morning. I notice that I actually see better results when I walk in the morning vs walking in the evenings. I started walking .5 miles and worked my way up to where I have been walking 3 the last couple of weeks. It gets easier and more enjoyable. I look forward to adding even more, or two walks a day when I get back.2 -
Since you walk so early do you eat breakfast before or after your walk. I seen you drink lots of water too. I may give it a try!
Thanks!0 -
WOW! Big difference! I'm 49 days in, 21.6 pounds down. I'm losing around my waist and hips first, can't wait to see a change in my face! Great job!!!! I have 79 pounds to go...1

@lorilynn33 - I go for a walk first thing, then come home and get ready for work, then eat breakfast. Definitely give it a try! Everything is worth a try!
@jencook1969 - Thank you very much. Hang in there and keep on keeping on! You will see results, it just takes time and everyone loses in different spots. It just depends on you. Just don't give up!1 -
