gaining weight too fast!

I have gained 6lbs in 2 weeks, is this dangerous at this rate???

    at night it spikes more, but in the morning it drops???

    before I started eating properly I was eating a meal a day, now I'm eating 3 meals a day with my protein shakes??? would this be normal for someone like me

    you will gain allot initally due to water weight and glycogen stick to the calorie range and it will level out

    You are. Keep going. As @Steve4239 said "you will gain allot initally due to water weight and glycogen stick to the calorie range and it will level out". Once your body gets used to the increase in the amount you eat, the rapid weight gain will stabilise and you will gain at a slower rate.

    PS: I'm open to correction by others if I am wrong.

    You really should only weigh yourself once a day, at most. Once or twice a week is even better.
    All weighs should be done the same. The best is in the morning, after using the toilet but before eating, and with as little clothing as possible.

    Are you exercising too? As in new, hard workouts? Inflammation could be a reason too.
