I am thinking about starting this series. I've done a couple of them (literally 2!..yoga and cardio x) off and on a few times, but I want more of a set schedule for my workouts. Right now I just randomly choose a dvd and do that, not really targeting a specific thing.
On the website it has a schedule for the "Classic" and the "Lean". For those who have done this, what's the difference and which one would you recommend?

Classic is a more balanced cardio and strength training.
Lean is more cardio based.
I would recommend the classic version and as the months go on, you can add the CardioX as a double workout if you want to.0 -
Lean IMO is great for those needing to get ready for Classic or want a leaner look. Classic is definitely geared toward someone who is in better shape and would like some muscle addition or nice tone look.0

I'm currently doing a P90X/Asylum hybrid and I've done classic P90X 3 times before. Personally I'd recommend doing classic. Despite the fact that it's a balanced strength/cardio program, there is simply no better way to get lean than to lift weights, and P90X puts it all together for you to optimize the benefits of that and cardio. Trust me I burn nearly as much calories during the P90X strength workouts as I do an Insanity/Asylum cardio workout.0

When I did P90X LEAN this past spring - I started at 140 lbs. I lost 20 lbs & 13"
I am also 5'8 and gettin' myself 120 lbs has prepared by body into gettin' LEAN mode, in order for me to gain muscle mass to see more definition.
Now I am doin' P90X Classic - to gain the muscle mass.
It is really up to you & in order for any workout to work really - you will need to commit to somethin' - only if you want. If you're not ready for P90X , there's alot of people who do this Jillian Michaels - personally I can't stand her. but, I hear great reviews of her.0
