You don't have to eat salads if you don't want to. The only thing you need is a calorie deficit. If you aren't logging, start now. If you've been logging and have been stuck at this weight for 3+ weeks, then it's time to tighten things up. This may include making sure EVERY food you consume is logged (including cooking oils, butter, and all drinks other than water), weighing foods on a scale and measuring liquids in spoons/cups, double-checking the accuracy of the entries chosen against nutrition labels or the USDA's database, utilizing the recipe builder rather than choosing homemade or generic meals from the database, and being mindful of how many exercise calories you've burned/eaten back.6

I started very near your weight, a little higher, and I probably ate 4-5 salads over the course of three years. The deficit is what you need to focus on, not traditional "diet" food.4

Thanx yall for all the useful info0

And it's only been 5 days. Great loss so far, just give it more time before getting discouraged.1

I just started peak fasting. I was stuck too. Check mercola for type of fasting and why it works. Anything other than peak fasting is too hard for me. I try and focus on something else. I am moving now.0

Salads do not equal healthy. Many salads are 1,000+ calories.
If it goes in your mouth you need to know how many calories per serving, using a food scale and/or measuring cups to ensure accuracy of portion size. It is easy to eat 3+ servings yet count it only as one.0 -

Mercola is full of woo, but this just looks like standard 16:8 intermittent fasting. If it helps keep you in a deficit, great, but there's nothing special about it.2 -

This. Especially if you add things like nuts, cheese, croutons, dressing...the calories can add up quickly. In some of the more well known restaurants, the salads can be some of the highest calorie items on the menu, even more than a burger and fries!
Food scale, definitely. Also, patience. It's probably going to take longer than a week or two to start seeing results.
In addition to the chart above: are you selecting the correct entries in the database? Even the green checkmarked "verified" entries, and the barcode scanning, can be wrong. Always be sure to compare the brands and nutrition labels. Also, what are you logging as deliberate exercise? Is it things like walking, dancing, weight lifting, etc...or is it things like vacuuming for 15 minutes, or cooking for 10 minutes? In cases like the last two examples, they should be considered part of daily activity and not logged for calories burned. Just a few things to keep in mind. Good luck!0 -
