I do too, can't wear short or skirts for too long unless I put some bodyglide on my thighs.

I have always had this problem because I have thick thighs. I hope we get some good ideas. I typically dust my inner thighs with baby powder. That works for a bit but 1. be careful not to get it on dark clothes and 2. it's not an all day solution.

The new and trimmer me likes shorter shorts and skirts, but on a hot sticky day, I hate the feeling of my thighs rubbing and sticking together.

People probably think this is a female problem, but it affects us guys too. If someone invented a real solution they would get rich. I also use the baby powder trick before my morning walk, but it won't last the day.
  • I got this trick from a friend: rub deodorant (a clear kind, obviously) on your inner thighs when wearing shorts, skirts, etc. I no longer have to wear basketball shorts under my pretty summer dresses!

I think someone else already mentioned it, but try the Body Glide (looks like a stick of deoderant).. Works great!! Good Luck!

Monastat used to make this gel that turned into a powder that worked for chaffing under arms and on the thigh area. Not sure if they still make it but it works pretty well.

Where does one find Body Glide? I like the deodorant idea, too.

    Deodorant works the best!
  • Lanacane make a great anti chafing gel, goes on so smoothly. I use it when I wear skirts (for now of course) Walgreens, Rite Aid etc. Dirt cheap.

I don't wear dresses or shorts for this very reason (until I lose weight anyway!) but I had to wear a dress for a wedding last year and searched high and low for the best product that was "natural" because I'm a wanna be hippy. lol ANYWAY!!! hehe I found a great product on Etsy. It's called Secret Shield and the girl that sells it, her username is "skindura". The link to her profile is: http://www.etsy.com/people/skindura?ref=ls_profile

This stuff works GREAT! I had not even a hint of rubbing pain during the whole wedding/reception and even forgot that it was something I usually worry about! And over the weekend I got all rebel like and wore a skirt to the fireworks and used this product again, and even though I was sweating (it was so hot!), not any rubbing at all. This stuff is a god send, let me tell you. If I had known about it sooner I would have been wearing skirts over the years! And no, I do not know this person at all, just buy her product, and it only cost me $10 plus a few dollars s/h. Really recommend it!

Putting clear deodorant on your thighs does work, bodyglide product does the same thing.

While working out look at getting some compression shorts, for women and men. I wear nike or underarmour compression shorts underneath my shorts or sweats every time I work out, running, basketball, lifting weights. They are form-fitting and keep your legs from rubbing together causing the chaffing pain

I bought mine in a running room in Canada, the second one, I was in the US and bought it at a sports store.
