I'm one of those people that beats themselves up for making a mistake and feels like crap. Feeling really awful right now ☹️

What mistake did you make?. It can always be corrected. Mistakes are opportunities for learning. i guess you over ate? Why? Tired? Social situation? comfort eating? Stress eating?

You know you will face this again so what can you do better next time?

Tiredness- for me low cal glucose tabs get me through. Coffee just lowers my blood sugar and makes me hungrier.
Social situations- its about seeing my friends not food. I won't be intimidated into eating more and eventually my friends got used to it.
Comfort - i watch films or write in my journal - or have a good cry.
Stress - exercise or meditation helps me here - or a walk in the countryside.

Its not popular hetre but if i do overeat i can always reduce my intake by 100 or so calories each day over the next week to make up for it.

Don't beat yourself up! Remember that your mistakes are lessons and slipping up once in a while isn't something to feel awful about. No one's perfect :)
