What mistake did you make?. It can always be corrected. Mistakes are opportunities for learning. i guess you over ate? Why? Tired? Social situation? comfort eating? Stress eating?
You know you will face this again so what can you do better next time?
Tiredness- for me low cal glucose tabs get me through. Coffee just lowers my blood sugar and makes me hungrier.
Social situations- its about seeing my friends not food. I won't be intimidated into eating more and eventually my friends got used to it.
Comfort - i watch films or write in my journal - or have a good cry.
Stress - exercise or meditation helps me here - or a walk in the countryside.
Its not popular hetre but if i do overeat i can always reduce my intake by 100 or so calories each day over the next week to make up for it.1 -
Don't beat yourself up! Remember that your mistakes are lessons and slipping up once in a while isn't something to feel awful about. No one's perfect0
