Hey guys! I used MFP 4-5 years ago and had great success. Unfortunately, once I got to a place where I was doing well, I stopped using the site and continued my diet/exercise regime on my own. That worked out fine for quite some time, but eventually I got into a new relationship and fell off the wagon and dove head first back into a sea of bad habits (which included getting far too many bread bowls with sides of bread and chocolate croissants for dessert from Panera). Now I'm 25 pounds heavier than I was when I started my journey before. My goal is to lose about 100 pounds. I'd love to connect with some other people on MFP who are looking for accountability partners, especially people who also have a lot of weight to lose (although I won't discriminate if you only need to lose 15 pounds). I'd love to hear all of your stories and see your success and share tips and tricks and good recipes etc! Hope to hear from you! :)

    Good on You!
You have done it before and You will make it again! :)
I myself was in pretty good shape until the summer 2013 when I visited a friend in Switzerland and managed to get pulmonary lung embolism and was pretty close to go home in a body bag. Life wanted otherwise but my recovery has taken loooong time and I gained 40 pounds and lost all my stamina.

But hey, that was yesterday :-)
Now, I´m back in the saddle again, on stiff legs may I add, and mostly enjoying my time :-)

Good luck on Your quest :-)

I was on here a couple years ago too and like your story, I fell off the wagon, got comfy in my relationship and both of us ended up being 60 pounds overweight. I am now recently single(3 months in) and have jumped back full force into losing my weight. I quit smoking last September and that was another big goal for me(27 years smoking) but it also meant I added 20 pounds. I have lost 13 so far this time round since May 24th and am feeling totally good about things. I think I am in the right head space this time. I am in a positive place now without negative people around me and I have done research, found awesome recipes(found healthy desserts!), and feel good. Having an accountability partner would be awesome! I am trying to inspire some of my other friends as well but most of them haven't quite gotten to the place where they believe they can do it. Many like myself have been overweight for decades and are deeply routed in bad habits. But I continue to encourage and show them it can be done and now I am coming on here too to help myself stay amongst those who are on the same journey.
OOOH YEAH, another biggie for me! I have been diabetic for 8 years and have been struggling to get low numbers. I finally had the last 2 days in a row where I met the normal metrics. I am finally eating the right amounts of food and it is showing proof of that. I finally feel like I can do it.
55 pounds more to go to reach the highest of my recommended weight for my height and size but I may even see if I can go to the low end which would make me a weight that I haven't seen since I was a teenager(before 4 kids)
