Of course. As you said, it has zero calories. Why would it affect your weight loss?1
-
Yes I drink at least one every day.0

Yes! though I am not a big soda drinker, and for me, it is really only a summer indulgence. But its ZERO calories!! Its a great diet tool for satisfying both thirst and hunger cravings, so it just makes sense to me to include it in an eating strategy aiming at weight loss.0

i drink one every day... its 0 calories - no effect on weight loss.0

Yes. Being a Type 1 diabetic, I started drinking diet soda long before I ever needed to lose weight. When I started dieting, it never occurred to me to give up diet soda. In fact, at the time of my first diet, diet soda was considered a healthy alternative to regular soda and good for dieters. A few years ago, when I hit a plateau, I gave it up for a month. This did not break the plateau. So, I started drinking it again. This time around, I have had diet soda almost every single day. I've lost 29 pounds in six months and am only five pounds from goal.1

Yes. I drink more of it now.0

no I kept gaining weight. Noticed when i stopped drinking it I was a lot less bloated. I drink a regular coke every now and then. Didn't gain weight from that either.0

Nothing makes your body "cling to fat". Anyone that thinks that diet sodas are causing their weight issues, has a problem tracking their calorie consumption.4 -
Um no. Plus there's hardly any sodium in it anyways0
-
I've lost weight by counting calories, exercising AND also drinking "real" soda...the first 2 are more important to the weight loss thing...

I drink seven to ten Coke Zero Vanillas in a daily basis, and have suffered no setbacks in weight loss. The only thing making most bodies "cling to fat", is fork-to-mouth disease.4

Some people find drinking diet soda causes them to be hungrier, so they eat more calories than they should. That shouldn't be a problem if you're tracking your intake and if you find that it does make you hungrier then you can adjust or cut it out. And some people notice some bloating with it. That's not fat gain, but if you react to it you can choose whether or not to cut it.
But the rest is just nonsense. There's only 85 mg of sodium in my diet dr pepper. That's on par with some tap waters. And aspartame is one of the most heavily studied substances in the world. It does not and can not cause fat storage in a calorie deficit.1 -
I made a mistake of drinking a lot at night! I couldn't sleep! Beware of the caffeine if you drink just right before bed time. Lack of sleep made working out the next day so bad. >D But it's a good alternative to plain water if you need something sweet.0

Lost a hundred pounds drinking 2 or 3 a day. Studies showing that people who drink diet soda weigh more are not causal studies. Diet soda does not cause weight gain or prevent weight loss. There are some studies that suggest that people who drink diet soda may eat more calories because they overcompensate for the lack in the soda - "Oh, I can eat that bag of cookies because there are no calories in my soda!" And dieters are naturally more likely to choose a diet drink! That said, there are other problems with diet soda, but you have to choose your own poison, eh?0

I drink a couple nearly every day. And, I don't even log them and I still lose weight. It's magic!0

Drink it daily its never hindered my efforts.0

I drink diet sodas all the time, though lately I tend to restrict them to meals.0

My husband switched from Coke to Coke Zero and lost 30 lbs so fast that people thought he was ill. The dentist finally talked him into cutting way down on the Coke Zero because the phosphoric acid in cola was causing tooth sensitivity.0

Diet soda, zero calorie energy drinks, amino energy...I drink all of these things on a daily basis.0
