Breastfeeding, recent 4th C Section & desperate to lose weight

Hi,
Had my 4th baby 3 months ago (all by C Section) & I'm exclusively breastfeeding. I'm desperate to lose 4 stone, but I don't want it to be at the detriment of my milk supply. Also just discovered my little girl is CMPA so am now on a DF diet. Anybody got any advice on how I can lose weight but maintain my supply. Breastfeeding this time round is not making me lose weight. This app is telling me I need to consume 1300 cals a day to lose 2lb a week, but I know I need between 300-500 cals for breastfeeding. Help please.

Hey, I've breastfed five babies. Calories are dicey while your nursing, and I think you have to carefully play with your levels to figure out what's right for you. But I think 1800 may be a good place to start! Friend me! *hugs*1

Weight Watchers allows 10 extra points for breastfeeding which would equate to about 500 calories, so 500 above the MFP goal sounds about right!1

KellyMom is a good resource for all things breastfeeding: http://kellymom.com/nutrition/mothers-diet/mom-weightloss/#guidelines1

I'm still breastfeeding my third (she's 8 months) and have decided I HAVE to focus on losing a bit of weight, even though I'm still feeding so much. I also think 500 above mfp goal is a good starting place. Good luck!!1

I am also nursing while trying to lose weight. My eating has gotten out of control because I'm always so hungry. I'm going to just start tracking what I'm eating now as a baseline then cutting down from there. I read that if I cut my calories too drastically but it'll affect my milk supply1

Yes I'm famished all the time, this time round. So just going to add 500 extra on. Thanks for the advice people.0

Also depends on your activity level settings. Changing my settings to "very active" adds the extra cals needed to account for feedings.0
