i know loads of ppl have replied to this already but don't give up. it can take several weeks for your body to adjust and for you to see results. you could be retaining water, be approaching TOM. it's frustrating. i plateaued for about 5 weeks at one point, but eventually the scales started moving in the right direction. you seem pretty aware of what you're eating, so i wont go there. give it time, it will happen.

oh any by the way if you're having a chocolate, fast food and Dr Pepper party, can i come too? :)

I posted a couple weeks ago because I was frustrated by not losing weight. I began running and walking (similar to C25k) on June 12th and began eating much healthier, fruits, veggies, lean protein, etc.. gave up my chocolate and DP sedentary life! I also do kettlebell a few times a week. The scale has been all over the place, lost 3.2 and now I am back where I started. I feel I look different in the mirror but not much difference when I measure. My abdomen looks all dimply and feels jelly like..I know that sounds crazy but I feel it looks gross, different.. I just feel like after a month I should see more loss of inches, pounds or something! Yes, I started weighing food as yall asked before. I drink a gallon of water a day, also. I'm getting so frustrated I'm starting to think of quitting, and I really don't want to when I need to lose at least 38 pounds. I guess I just want to hear someone can relate and has seen this before.

Re your abdomen, check out this article: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-whooshes-and-squishy-fat.html/

Yes, 1200. I was told to increase to 1400 and eat mostly protein. I really think that just messed me up more, plus I found it difficult to eat 1400 calories of good food. I could certainly attain that goal with chocolate, fast food and Dr.Pepper.

There are mistakes that people commonly make that cause them to not lose weight that we might be able to spot if you change your Diary Sharing settings to Public: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

It takes time. I would mini-plateau for 3 weeks or so quite often. You can see a screen cap of my weight loss over time in my post here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10428970/2-years-130lbs-and-a-very-long-post-with-a-pile-of-pics-at-the-end#latest Note that there were lots of plateaus and re-gains along the way!

Motivation gets you started. Dedication sees you through!

Me too. I've plateaued for as long as 5 months. I just kept at it and then it started coming off again. It took a lot of years to put it on. I plan to keep it off. If I had given up, then I would have gained. So I see staying the same a bit of a victory, especially through the last holiday season.

No matter what exercise or diet I do. I have to be consistent for at least 2 months to even see or feel any results. No matter how strict I am. Sometimes it's just our body type or other medical reasons that the weight don't come off or you don't see results. Stick with it! Maybe you've reached an age (I don't know how old you are) where your body is requiring longer to see or feel anything. You can do it! Don't give up.

You said you recently increased activity. I always gain a few lbs of water the first few weeks when I start a new work out.
