Losing 40 pounds by February

Hi there! I need to lose at least 40 pounds by the second week in February. That's about 30 weeks away. I'm wondering what would be the best way to go about this. I'm 20, 5'4" and roughly 180 lbs. My goal is to reach at least 140 by the 13th. How many calories should I stick to? Any ideas for plateaus? What is the best exercise regimen for someone who wants to trim down and not bulk up? My problem areas are mainly in my torso, with a small amount in my triceps and upper thighs. Some tone would be nice, but I don't really want definition. Anything helps! Thank you!

I am 5'4, started at 180lbs in March 2016 and currently weigh 149lbs. My goal is 140lbs, I am 42 years old and have two small children. The way I have lost 31lbs in four months was to follow MFP caloric recommendations, weigh my food using an accurate food scale, increase physical activity if I added any calories.1
