Reward as motivation

I need some ideas for a reward of sorts, something to work toward. Last year, after enormous weight loss success, I did a pin up photo shoot. I'm losing momentum and need something to motivate myself. Help!

What motivated you last year?
For me, the reward is the weight loss itself.
Fitting into normal sized clothes, and feeling so much better.
The motivation was/is the end result. I have been maintaining for over 2-1/2 years.0 -

The photo shoot was my motivation. I totally get how weight loss in and of itself can be rewarding, but with scale fluctuations, etc, sometimes it just doesn't do it for me. I agree that good health is a good notivator, but I'm thinking I need a goal with a date, something planned, something tangible, or something I can look forward to, count down to.A hamster.
And... huh? Lol0 -
What do you enjoy doing that you wouldn't normally treat yourself to?
For instance do you enjoy art then you could get yourself a months worth of art lessons, Sewing a new material to use, if you love make-up you could treat yourself to an item you wouldn't normally use.
I know of people who did this with a gorgeous pair of high-heels, and then wore them every-where for the week they hit their short-term goal.2 -
Eating my proper portion of food every day is just normal self care, not something extraordinary or praiseworthy. Like brushing my teeth. No reward is necessary.
Motivation is the thing that gets you started working toward a goal. After that it's just persistence and discipline that keeps you going. How much do you want this?
Maybe you just need to go back in your mind and reflect on what made you want to lose weight in the first place.1 -
Book a cruise a year in advance.3

I get new cute workout outfits and get to sign up for fun physical activities (adult sport leagues and 5Ks).5

Well honestly, if you need a reward to motivate yourself... you probably don't want it enough... Wanting to get rid of the weight and be healthier (and look better) should be the goal - not some 'reward'. Or what's the point? What will you do once you achieve it... find another reward?0

I just keep making them up as I go.
My first one was to get under 200 before we had people visit from out of town. Did a gym challenge w/a date and set a goal to lose 20 in that time frame...actually did better than that. When I got to a normal BMI treated myself to a PT. Still doing that, though I probably shouldn't....need to get a job to support my PT habit. :P
Right now I'm only trying to lose a pound a week and targeting 25% body fat. Kicking around the idea of buying new skates as a reward for that one. Haven't skated in years...knee issues. So, rentals first for sure, but if I can't skate at a healthy weight then that is just how it is. Seems worth a try though.1 -

In the past, I've used "wants" as rewards. So, for example, I wanted (but didn't strictly need) a new laptop, a new bass guitar, a new car. I spaced these out as things to work for. The weight loss was great for all the right reasons, but it was fun at big milestones to get one of the "wants".2

A spa trip? Seems like a little pampering will be in order.1

My goodness, judgy mcjudgersons around here. Spa day? Mani/pedi? New running shoes? New workout gear. Or . . . . I have a couple of pairs of vintage Levis that I picked up (you know, the kind with no spandex in them). Getting to a size/weight where I could actually sport those bad boys will be very rewarding. Lots of options!3
