yup, ok, haha0 -
Not a web developer but I work in digital ad operations, so I feel a lot of the same soul-sucking pain that web developers do.1

Web developers aren't real programmers.1

I'm one. Stayed in academia, though, so @Cutaway_Collar likely has a similar opinion of my skills.
My job requires me to be a jack of all trades, master of none some.1 -

I work IT Help Desk, so sometimes I do some minor programming. Mostly computer repairs, though.1

So where do former #2 and now managers fall in the caste? 10?0 -

I started out as an application developer (cobol, pascal, c++, sql), now CIO.1

Work in IT as a SharePoint subject matter expert. Web development guru, wrote my first program in FORTRAN in 1962. Have an MS in computer science (field of specialization was advanced computer graphics), and nearly 40 years in software development, quality assurance, and IT (as well as a second career as a clinical counselor).
So don't tell *me* that web developers aren't really developers.1 -

Thanks but I'm a senior dev so I earn plenty for my lifestyle. No plans on doing anything different as my focus is family then music then fitness THEN work. I enjoy it and I work hard but that's all it is to me, just work.

I designed a router with GPL. That's not nothing.1
