290 for a grilled chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-a! Diet win!

But then I got a side salad, dressing on it, honey mustard on the sandwich, their diet lemonades actually have 20 calories and I had 3, I ate 2 of my kids left over chicken nuggets....

And it's a rest day for me and I was actually going to try to met my goal today since I did poorly yesterday. Opps.

Well, just re-think your dinner plans... see how you could cut calories there so that you can still stay under for the day.

Haha I had a similar thing happen... but mine was a Lean Cuisine Pizza, a ton of veggies, and hummus... so not really terrible, just lots of calories. However, I have 1800 to play with every day, so 600 for lunch didn't faze me too much.
  • Go to chik-fil-a's website, or any fast food place for that matter. Look at their different options, and see the calorie count. Write down 2 or 3 options in a calorie count that you want to stay in for any places you frequent. It's good ahead to have that info planned out because you never know when you'll need to stop for fast food on the run. That way, you'll never be surprised by what you ate. Chik-fil-a, Burger King, and McDonald's all have their calorie and nutrition info on their websites (I'm sure others do too), and Burger King let's you customize your meal to see where you can trim calories. You'd be surprised at what you'll find.

I also have a really bad habit of eating whatever my kids leave. Mostly because I payed for it and I dont want my money going to waste. But I read something somewhere that really got me thinking. It talked about how we shouldnt treat our bodies like garbage disposals!! Its so true! Whatever is leftover from somebody's plate is considered trash, so why are we putting trash in our mouths?!

At CFA, try their Light Italian Dressing. It's really good, and half a package is only 15 calories which is plenty for a side salad. Then use their Buffalo Sauce instead of the Honey Mustard. That is only like 10 calories.

Today I went there for lunch and had this. Only 425 calories with 2 medium diet lemonades.
  • I hate when that happens....when you think something is healthy and a better option and you find out that it is not

Their chargrilled chicken salad is awesome. Not shabby on the calories, either.

Try chick fil a fat free honey mustard dressing on salads and sandwiches, so good and low cal! Darn those nuggets, there hard to resist but i trade off the extra cals by not eating my lower sandwich bun. Eating out complicates things but it happens, and little strategies help!

That leftover kid food gets me all the time.

At CFA I get 8 nuggets, a small fruit cup (no need for dressing), or the nuggets and a large lemonade for 340 cal plus whatever I dip the nuggets in. I like ketchup, BBQ, or buffalo sauce. I don't really like the char grill and getting nuggets eliminates the bun. I also really like the southwest salad, but then I need ranch dressing. The salad plus the whole pack of ranch is 400cal, but I never use the whole pack.

I love chick fil a, I get the grilled chicken plain and then remove the bread and put texas pete on it, small fries, and diet lemonade. I haven't had this is a while . . . may have to hit it up tomorrow when I'm burning a crap ton of calories.
