Need help using the Food Diary

Hey, this is my first day! (Well first day in a few years) I can't remember how to use the food diary. I'm trying to add to my food diary but when I type in the search bar it only searches my recently used foods instead of the database. Can anyone help me out?

    See where it says search all food in blue? Tap that.

    Once you press the search button on your keyboard it should pull up the database list. At least, it does for me.

    i type in "chicken cordon blue" when its really "chicken kiev'. and its holly farms and not perdue farms. close enough for me.
