CHANGE HAPPENS WHEN THE PAIN OF STAYING THE SAME EXCEEDS THAT OF MAKING A CHANGE.
For the past 30 days I have been religiously weighing and logging everying I eat. YES.I.WEIGH.EVERYTHING. I have had good days. I have had bad days. I have definitely had downright ugly days. But I get up the next morning, and start fresh. No dwelling on the downfalls. I started this journey not just to shed a few pounds ( okay more than a few- 138lbs to be exact), but wanted to get my blood sugars under control. I am a type 1 diabetic, on an insulin pump and have never seriously had control of my diet. I have also battled cancer twice and the oncologists have told me weight loss and blood glucose control will help prevent another recurrence. After 30 days:
1. I now know what a "normal" portion of a food is.
2. I have lost 7 lbs.
3. My blood glucose readings have improved DRAMATICALLY. When I went to my Endo Dr. 3 months ago, my daily blood glucose was averaging 250-300 or even higher.
Now, my daily average is 145.
It could be better, but I am a work in progress.
Thanks to my hubby for support and putting up with the craziness involved.
I look forward to the next 30 days :-)

Good job! Getting started is always the hardest part, so congrats on getting through the first month
I'm finishing day 61 and I can say that it's definitely gotten even easier compared to day 30!
