Bar code nutrient information

I am using this app to track my nutrition.
However almost all of the food i input via barcode has no information on nutrients such as calcium, vitamin a, c etc.
This makes it difficult to use the app to track my vitamin intake. For example I scanned some sliced cheese and according to the app this has 0% calcium
Any strategies for overcoming this?

Make your own entry or edit the one that has 0% calcium, which will let you add the correct details.1

You mean the label doesn't have it? There are relatively few nutrients that labels are legally obliged to have. the rest, often vitamins, are at the discretion of the manufacturer. Where it's not on the label, you really don't have a lot of choice, save for finding a similar product and seeing if it has the info.0

Perhaps you are eating too many manufactured foods? It's easy to find meat, fish, veg and dairy nutritional details on the Internet or in MFP's generic lists.
Fact is, if you are eating out of packets and tins the nutrition will be much reduced compared to fresh foods.
If you are not eating all your nutrients then at the very least take a multi-vitamin supplement.
Good luck.0
