Cigar Smokers Tip

Instead of keeping my cigars in a humidor, I keep them in a 1 Gallon Zip Loc. I usually put some flaovored pipe tobacco in with them and a Vanilla bean. This keeps them at the right humidity and they smell great.

By the way, Vanilla beans are about $5 to $10 dollarts at the grocery store for 1 Bean.

You can get them at Amazon at a cost of $9.29 for 16 beans. Free shipping.

Well done Sir. i am a cigar smoker and I have a humidor and I also have done a ziploc, but I usually use a small sponge to keep them moist and in prime smoking condition...But thank you for the great tip on the Vanilla bean.......

It was the Vanilla Beans I found on Amazon, not the cigars.

i do this also, may i suggest you use distilled water instead of regular water if that is what you are using.
  • I think with the humidity the way it has been here in SE TN, I could probably leave them sit on the kitchen counter and they'll be fine.
