When i started my weight loss a year ago I had to get some new kitchen essentials. The tools bought were many and varied but at this point I couldn't do this healthy eating thing without.
A good blender. I went with Ninja been very happy.
A crock pot/electric pressure cooker.
How about you?

Scale for me too, a good pan, and a set of good knives. I don't do shakes often and have no need for a crock pot (I work from home so I can watch the food while it cooks).1

I'm not listing a food scale as that should be a given, given the website.
A dutch oven for braising meats/stews/soups/bread/etc and a lot of two-cup glass storage containers with lids. The containers are pretty essential to how I now eat since controlling food portion sizes to control calories.

It's stupid, but I use my veggie spiralizer at least twice a week. It was honestly a game changer for me because it made cooking easier and I can eat a TON of food at once without going over calories.
Good tupperware. You can use it for prepping food. Saving leftovers. Bringing food to your coworkers to get it out of your house. The options are endless.2 -

My top runner up was my spiralizer for pretty much the exact same reason as you Phrunch. Not stupid at all.

A good knife (sharp, chef's knife) and a good pan.
My current favourite pan is a nonstick Esteele saute pan with a heavy base.1 -
1. Food scale with batteries on hand
- Accurate logging=proper fueling for my body and successful maintenance
2. Rice cooker
- I don't have all the time in the world to stand and watch over food in the kitchen. It's so easy to just pop some food into the cooker and set it to be ready when I need it.2 -
A good set of pans ( I was still using what was left from when I married my ex in 1987). That inspired me to try lots of new recipes which have made it easier to stay on track. Second I just got a Ninja system with the blender and food processor so it has lots of versatility.0

Fit & Fresh plastic dishes. They are perfect for portion control.
My spiralizer..I love it!0 -
I got a new set of ceramic pots and pans...and I'm really enjoying my Ninja for smoothies and protein fluff. When its colder, I use a hand blender/immersion blender for hot liquids more than the Ninja.0

Good sharp chefs knife and cast iron skillets.0

I've only had it for a week, but I've used my Instant Pot like crazy. My veggies, beans, and grains are cooked nicely with less effort and effort than before; I'm making my own yogurt and looking into other dairy products; and I've made a few things for other people.
A scale for obvious reasons.0 -
Scale and containers for packed lunches

Blender for shakes & foreman grill for cooking my proteins0

I couldn't manage without a good knife, a good pan, and my food scale. Oh and my coffee pot. Most of the other things in my kitchen end up as decorations to be used once in a while.0

Food scale
I haven't bought any other new kitchen tools to help with weight loss or changing the way I eat.
I cook every day so I already had all the cooking implements and appliances I need.0 -
Insulated lunch bags, ice packs, and plastic containers for carrying food on workdays.0

A food scale to weigh hamburgers [when I make them, I keep them around 6 oz each]
A decent skillet for frying0 -
I really like over-night oatmeal. Lots of good, healthy fiber, fresh fruit and protein. It's a great way to start my day. So, I needed some nice 16 oz. refrigerator storage containers for the ON oatmeal. The recipes for ON oatmeal show the servings in a glass canning jar but I wasn't keen on using glass because I'm clumsy. I found some sturdy, plastic containers with a screw on lid that work great. And I had to try a spiralizer because it just makes vegies look so darned good and I need to eat more vegies.0

Hmm, my top 2 things are food scale, crockpot, cast iron skillet, and chefs knife.
That's 2, right? Hey, what can I say...I was never good at math..0 -
The food scale was a whole new world opening up, I use it for absolutely everything now.
The stick blender is also essential as I only like smooth soups.
Apart from that the cast iron skillet has always been my big love.0 -
George Foreman grill and containers for individual portions.
I got a good food scale because of recommendations here, and seldom have used in the 4 years I have had it. I have been cooking for 50 years and am good at estimating and using measuring spoons & cups. I managed to reach my goal and have kept the weight off for over 2-1/2 years, so it works for me.0
