    Nothing really helps with weight loss. You lose weight from a sustained calorie deficit (eat less than you burn). You can eat anything you want and whenever you want and lose weight, if you stick to your calorie deficit. Some foods can make you more satisfied so that it's easier to stick to your calorie deficit. This is often a variety of nutrient dense foods. Nutrient dense foods includes vegetables, fruit, whole grains, dairy, fish, meat, eggs, seafood. Eat food you like. Snack if you want to. Snacking will in itself neither guarantee nor prevent weight loss.

    I like carrots dipped in laughing cow cheese, apples, and celery with peanut butter. Oh, and cheese sticks. I've been craving dairy like crazy lately.

    Some of my favorite snacks:

    Plain air-popped popcorn - keeps you busy eating for a while and not a lot of calories
    Greek yogurt with fruit
    Rice cake topped with Pb2 and sliced apples
    Veggie straws - you get a decent portion for the amount of calories
