I'm constantly thinking of food. I'm either pre-planning my day's meals, snacks or otherwise. Which makes me hungry. I make my fruit smoothie of the morning, wondering what I'll eat for AM snack and lunch. Only to finish AM snack and still be hungry . . . can't wait until LUNCH !!!
Mind over matter?? Or what is really going on? I drink lots of water. Already finished 2 cups of coffee and 2 10 oz bottles of water. Water . . . water. . and more water.

Are you eating foods that satisfy your hunger?? Are you just thinking about food or acting on those impulses? :flowerforyou:0

Do you have actual hunger pains? Hunger pains are your body's way of telling you it is time to eat. I don't think those signals should be ignored or drowned out by water. It is when we eat without having that hunger pain or when we continue eating once the signal has subsided that we get out of balance. Maybe you could try breaking your meals down into more meals throughout the day. In other words, if you eat a salad at lunch, try splitting that salad up and eating half at lunch and then half a little later. Just an example, but that might help.0

are you sure you are eating enough and often enough if you are always hungry? Water is good, but too much can be bad too, if you are bloating yourself because you are drinking so much water, not good.
How many calories are you eating?0 -

I find that if I'm getting hungry before meal time, chewing a piece of gum really does help. I've begun to realise that a lot of the time, I'm not really all that hungry. I'm just bored. So the gum helps take the edge off by emulating the chewing and swallowing. Drinking water will also help you feel fuller. I'd also recommend eating smaller amount more often. Eat breakfast, 2-3 hours later eat a healthy snack, lunch, 2-3 hours later another healthy snack etc.
I do also want to say that if you are just starting this diet, its going to take a bit of time to get used to it. So give yourself a bit of time. I don't know what your calorie count is at now or what it was before, but maybe you might want to bump your calorie count up and every week shave off another 100 cals until you are eating at the calorie count you want to be at to lose the weight. Good luck, you can do it!0 -
Yeah like someone said are you eating things that satisfy you. Lately I have been eating 2 egg whites and a piece of toast in the morning with some water and a banana and I am good until lunch. I don't snack before lunch, I make myself wait for it and eat a good lunch, salad, fruit, yogurt or sandwich and yogurt. I make sure that you are getting enough protein that will make you feel fuller. Maybe snack on things like nuts they are filling.0

That is what I was going to suggest -- pick up a hobby. I eat when bored, but don't snack when I'm reading a great novel!0 -
It's easy to get obsessed with food- at least until it becomes more "automatic"0

All very, very good comments. !! Thanks so much. .
I do eat nutritious. . healthy and satisfying meals and snacks. I'm probably just rushing the whole thing. Need to get settled in and let my body tell me when I"m hungry. Just because I'm thinking of food, doesn't mean I"m hungry. ALL REALLY GOOD POINTS !
I've been quilting. . . to keep my hands and mind busy. Plus a bonus for my daughter who love the Horsey quilt I am making for her !
Thanks AGAIN !!
I'm back to positive thinking and positive eating !!0 -
