Hi all, Does anyone have any experience doing only the strength training part and the abs part. I hate the cardio part, it has me winded down and it hurts my knees. I walk 2 miles every day.

Would appreciate your inputs.

I used to do all cardio ... but now I just do weight training and keep my heart rate up with supersets, high reps and pushing it to the limit every other day ...

If you want to burn fat - weight training is the best method ... but be sure to check out supersets, and do a few high rep days mixed with low rep days so you can get some fat burn .. Good luck!

Hey. IDK the answer but I would love to know too. I apparently pulled a tendon on the side of my knee today in zumba and trying to do the jumping jacks and butt kicks just about killed me, maybe tomorrow I will do it without the cardio and see how much I burn. Esp. since I get the cardio in Zumba. I'll post again tomorrow and let you know the difference in calories burnt.

I was in a car accident almost 2 years ago.. slammed my knees into the dash.. so I have issues with the cardio and all the up and down that you have to do... so I'm curious about this as well... instead of jumping jacks I walk in place..so maybe modify it? i think thats what Im going to try... Best of luck.. and Im curious to see responses :)

I can't do all of the jumping either. so when there are butt kicks, I do like leslie sansone and kickback one leg at a time as I rock onto the other leg. with the rock star jumps, I run in place. I think as long as you keep moving, the kind of cardio isn't a big issue. you may burn a few less calories, but you won't be injured and unable to do ANY exercise either. I've actually come a long way in being able to do the pushups and other stuff so I feel pretty good about modifying the jumping. I forgot to say, I usually follow the beginner girl for most of the cardio, I think you need to be really fit to follow the really buff skinny girl.
