*discovered when I visited my daughter that all I need to use is 1 or 2 teaspoons of light cream in my coffee!! And it actually tastes good, instead of me just throwing the whole cup out, as I've been doing, lol.
Didn't get much fresh veggies/fruit at this grocery store, as the little markets near me have the best. I can walk or take the bus & get enough for a day or two. Yum. But I made sure I stocked up on everything else that is really inexpensive there.
I use a lot of lemon and/or lime juice in my cooking - I love it. Also like balancing flavor, as in Vietnamese food, which has become a big favorite of mine (not eating out for awhile til I've lost more weight) - sweet, sour, salty, spicy. Makes dishes SO much more flavorful.
Also got a couple of things for my son, but I won't touch those, so it's not important. He's lost LOTS since I started, too - he's eating the same way, plus he just started doing freelance landscaping, which is REALLY hard work. He actually should be eating more, so I got a couple of things I know he likes (and doesn't tempt me, lol).
Hahaha - I tried to edit & add the exact TYPE of mushrooms I bought - I left out one 'i' and MFP thinks I'm swearing - like when I caught my arm in the folding door tonight... didn't know I should have yelled... Shii - TAKE MUSHROOMS!!
ROTFL!!
I'm going to try again.. that was: dried shiitake mushrooms.0 -
