Just wondering what your jean size is. I'm currently at 229 and a size 24. I feel like a lot of women around the same weight use jeans that are way smaller so it's mostly out of curiosity.

I'm 227 and just moved to a size 16. But I'm 5'5 and carry my weight in my top half.1

Height and how your weight is distributed over your body is going to be a big factor for clothing size
I'm 5'9" , 255 size 16 right now. Sometimes 14 or 18 depending on the brand3 -
I'm 5'5, 215 and in size 18 right now. Last time I was this weight I was easily a 16 but I had one other kid since and pants don't fit the same since. Doing strength and cardio in hopes of getting pants down a bit quicker1

First off, I have no idea what I'm doing.. First time on here... I'm 5'1 and 228, size 16-18... Started at 243... That was 45 days ago I think ... I'm stuck and can't seem to shake anymore weight...

I'm 5'4", ~224 lbs and just starting to squeeze into size 16. I'm all stomach so I tend to suddenly drop sizes once my waist hits a tipping point. But way before that my clothes get way too loose everywhere else.3

I'm 201 and 18/20. I'm all thighs, belly and butt.5

My body is weird. I'm @256lbs and 5'4 but I'm in size 12-14 I don't have a large stomach it's actually quite flat. but the rear end is... Huge... Ha, I have a hard time finding jeans that will go over my butt. And when I do they're way to big for my stomach so I usually just wear yoga pants lol2

I'm allllll butt and BOOBS2

I'm 5'4". I started my weight loss journey at 211 wearing a tight size 16. Now I'm 195 and still wearing a size 16 but much more comfortably. I tend to stay relatively proportional when I gain/lose weight though, which is mostly a good thing, but I do feel like it takes longer for changes to be visible and for sizes to go down.3

I'm 229 5'8 and a size 18-20 depending on the brand.0

I'm 5'6. Before I lost weight, I was at 215 lb. I was in a 14/16 US jean size.0

When I started I was 241 (5'6") and was an 18 although the those were all incredibly tight on me and I refused to go into the 20s..... They got so tight that I knew it was either lose weight or go up a couple sizes... Now I'm 157 ) best decision I ever made.9

When I started, I was 275-ish and wore a 24w. I'm 5'7.3
-
I was 260 and wore a 20-22. Now I'm 235 and solidly in an 18. I can't wait for size 16!!!2

Girl if you are interested in comparing check out this website: http://www.mybodygallery.com/
It's just random people who put up pictures of themselves. You can enter your height, weight, etc, and then see what other people with your stats look like. It's eye-opening and awesome. It also goes to show that the scale isn't everything!
Also, if you're not accounting for height than you can't make a comparison. When I was 290 I was a size 26-28, but I'm 5'10". Now I'm 170 (upper healthy BMI range) and I'm a size 8/10. Other women with my same BMI are 4s and 6s, but they're shorter.5 -
I am 285lbs and 5'8 and wear a size 20 sometimes 18 depending on the brand. When I lost 50lbs 7 years ago I was 230 and wore a size 14/15. Wish I could go back to that. I am very top heavy large stomach and boobs, but very slim legs and thighs.0

Hi I'm 257, 5'9 and Wear a size 18. I just had a 2nd baby so most of my weight is in my legs and stomach.0

HI there, I'm 5"4 and 243 (17st3). Depending on the shop, I'm between an 18 and a 22. All seems to be belly and boobs for me!1

I'm 232 and in a size 16, but I am pretty tall.0

I'm 5'5 270 and wear size 24.. I have lost 79 lbs and 50 + inches past couple of years .. Everyones body is so different, my friend is 5'2 225 and size 24, then co worker is 5'9 325 lbs and size 240
-
I am 5'4", 355 lbs, and I am a size 24.1
-
I'm 5'11", 210 lbs and I wear a size 14 or 16 depending on brand.1

Size depends so much on bone structure and build.
I'm 5'10", currently 225, size 18 jeans (at least, in my favorite brand).
Even that varies, because my waist/hip ratio is such that lots of jeans gap widely at the waist while they fit my hips, and when I buy "curvy" jeans, different brands scale them differently - some of them take a size 16 waist and make the butt bigger and call it a "16curvy," while others take an size 18 hip and make the waist smaller and call it a "18 curvy."0 -
Hello I just found the group.and I hope you don't mind me joining in. I'm 234 lbs. this is the most I've weighed in my life! I don't wear Jeans,my Dresses and skirts are around 16-18 in size. I'm just round all over!0

i'm 5'8" 229# and my 18's are beginning to become too baggy on me. when i was 260/265#, i wore a size 20 and that was tight.0

This is a super interesting thread! I've never really thought about this before... At 274, I am in some snug 18s... I should probably have bumped myself up to a 20, but have refused to buy another size up and instead have decided to lose the weight instead of losing my current pants for bigger ones. At what I would say has been my normal weight, 190ish, I was a comfortable 12 or 14, depending on the brand. Now that I'm considering it though, that is a significant weight difference and not much of a size difference. HOWEVER, as an 18, I shop in different stores. I wonder if I shopped at Maurices now instead of Torrid (or whatever plus size specific store) if I would actually be wearing a 22(ish)...2

I'm 239 and a size 16-18 depending on brand. Just got into 16's like a week or two ago. I carry the weight pretty evenly, but my thighs have always been thunderous. Lol2

5'4", 269 and in between a 24-26. I've got big hips.0
-
At 5'8 and 220 - I was a size 14, but it was a snug 14.0
