Eating too much Protein (CICO)

I have read a couple of articles recently that say that too much protein will
1. Be turned to fat and stored in the body
2. Cause Health issues
3. Put additional strain on the body
4. Cause nutritional deficiencies
I was wondering if anyone can provide an explanation as to how it will be turned to fat and stored if you are under your calorie intake for the day?
The reason I ask, is I aim for 80-100g of protein a day, but sometimes get an extra 20g of it on my weight training days.
Today is a rest day but I inadvertently have eaten 152g of protein.
I'm under my calorie goal and have had quite a balanced day.
I understand that the recommended intake for adults is 0.8g per kilogram of weight. More for professional athletes.
How much does it matter that I go over my protein target?
If it helps I weight train 3 times a week, play racket sports 1-2 times a week, swim 1-2 times a week, and try and get some additional cardio in after most weight sessions.
