Protein shake

Options
My daily Protein target is 146g. However i dont think i am reaching that target, as i only end up eating half of that amount, even tho i eat all the animal protein i can, such as eating chicken almost everyday.
Im wondering whether i should start having whey protein shakes.
Im not sure because im still 18 so my body hasnt fully grown.
Shall i start having whey protein shakes? Will it effect my growth?

If you feel you need to supplement protein, whey protein is a perfectly fine way to do it.

Before rushing out to the store to buy an expensive jug of powder, why don't you try a protein bar? You can buy just one at a time and see how you like it.
I like them best after a workout.
    * I have never heard of protein stunting growth.

Umm...could the laymen on the forums know why? Dats a lot of protein...

Whey protein is probably the best beginner protein as far as taste. I would go so far as to recommend unsweetened whey, if you can find it, so you can add sweetener as you like (Jarrows has a good one).

Whey won't do anything to harm you unless you're consuming like 10+ scoops a day (then the protein starts to mess with your kidney function). I have friends who swear by unsweetened whey + frozen berries + greek yogurt (or almond milk). I prefer the muscle milk light, only because I sugar restrict and can't have handfuls of berries.
