Does anyone know what the total calorie count is for a Neiman Marcus Dip?
Neiman Marcus Dip
¼ cup roasted almonds, slivered
4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 teaspoon green onions or chives, chopped
½ cup mayonnaise
salt to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread almonds on cookie sheet and
roast in oven for 10 minutes or until roasted. Fry four bacon strips until
crispy. Let bacon cool and then crumble. Combine all ingredients until well
mixed. Spread on party crackers such as Triscuits or Wheat Thins.
We had a birthday party this morning at work and I ate some of this. I want to enter the calorie count for it and don't have the time to figure out this recipe.
Please help.

Figure out for each item, add them up and divide by the number of servings you plan on using it for 0 0

            ¼ cup roasted almonds, slivered
4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 teaspoon green onions or chives, chopped
 ½ cup mayonnaise
 salt to taste
 1/2c mayo = death
1c shredded cheese = death, but not so bad as mayo death
Just chalk it up to sheer enjoyment and tasty delight!
No idea how much you ate of it, so no way to guesstimate calories.0

Go to http://caloriecount.about.com/, click on foods then new recipe, list ingredients, and it will calculate calories!0

I've seen this before where the amount of almonds were cut in half, the bacon was turkey bacon and the cheese was a lower fat cheese- and the mayo was light mayo...made a big difference in the nutrition content0

It sounds very similar to a broccoli and cauliflower recipe I found on here one day. The recipe has vinegar and sugar too. It can be done with low cal options to make each serving reasonable in caloric content.0

            Thanks Lady Pals,
I want to stay on a 1200 cal a day. Basically a low carb due to sugar issues. This would be a good low carb recipe if one weren't watching the fat.
It didn't help that they set up the longest table outside my office with 90% junk food that tasted scrumptious.
The office is so very bad about this food stuff. ... but then again no one puts the fork in my mouth but me.
 Taking responsibility for my actions.

It never fails though -- no one brings "healthy" food to office gatherings!
And I cannot keep myself from eating those yummy office treats either, so I try to limit portion size and just smile! :bigsmile:0
