Stuck for a month

I need help and motivation. For the last month, I've been losing 3 pounds, gaining 3 pounds. I can't get past it! I've been working on diligently tracking everything. I decided to start JM 30 day shred on Saturday as an effort to maybe kickstart a change in my body. Since then I've only gained even though I've been drinking 150 oz of water a day and not going over my caloric intake.
Would an IUD cause crazy water retention? Am I drinking too much water?
Yes I am on MFP's 1200 calorie a day alottment. Thoughts/tips?!?!? Thanks!

For starters 1200 calories might not be enough for you.
What is your weekly loss goal set at? Based on your goal weight you should be set to lose 1 lb/week, not more.
Are you eating back the calories you burn through exercise? If not start eating them.
Most likely the recent gain is water retention in your muscles do to starting a new program, JM 30DS, once you get use to the workouts your body will shed the excess water.
Hope this helps.0 -

hey! I,m in the same boat as you! Going form 148 to 152 every week for 3months now....I feel like giving up almost every day! I too have an IUD but I dont think it's the problem as My lowest weight (with it in) was 117! It was only when I started my relationship with my bf that I gained the rest. Now trying to get back down to healthy bodyfat %.0

Your calorie intake might be a little low, you have to fuel your body to keep it going. Also, there is a possibility the IUD might be causing this, I went off of birth control @ 30 yrs. old. I was having problems a few years back @ 36, doctor wanted me back on birth control I said "No!" Not only because of all the side effects after 30, but my #1 side effect was weight gain. I have made milestones in my weightloss since 2007 but it's a lot of work w/ much patience. I'm still not where I want to be about 15 pds off, one day at a time! They always say to drink lots of water, I average about what you drink a day. As long as it's not staying w/ you it's not to much...0

I completey agree with the guy with the hot bod. I would not drop your calories. Also, when you work out are you really working out or are you just going through the motions? Work up a big sweat push yourself. 3x a week for 20 minutes at a time is a minimal effort. Work out 6 days a week for an hour at a time. Def. eat your exercise calories or at least half of them.0
