I'm hoping someone could help me and pass on some motivation they have to lose weight.
I've been saying for nearly a year that I need to eat clean and healthy and how I'll start tomorrow. But tomorrow never comes for me.

I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who can point me in the right direction so I can start to enjoy losing weight and not think of it as a chore.

☺️✌

It's very simple: start today not tomorrow.

Being on My Fitness Pal is a great start and the most important thing is to use the calorie counter EVERY DAY. I'm in need of motivation also and a big motivator is when I have been consistent and lost weight. I've not done well but just keep plugging along and most important don't feel guilty when you have had a bad day. Start over the next day. Having a diet buddy helps too.

You don't have to eat "clean", whatever that means. You don't even have to eat "healthy". You just have to eat a bit less.

Have you entered your stats into MFP, set a reasonable weight loss goal, and started tracking your food and exercise?

If you really WANT it you will work your butt out to get it...

    But

If you just wish for it....then it will be just hard ...

You can do it. Just dive into it then just thinking...and thinking...
    .Stay strong!!

Eating clean, what ever the definition of this means to you is not necessary. It means something different to everyone. Why not start out with the foods you enjoy now, get used to the logging of these foods you eat now, and if you want to change how or what you eat, you can do that along the road.

    Advice, START!

I did that all the time. Until I actually did start and started noticing the changes and that's what made me stick to it. Now I'm my goal weight and just automatically eat healthy now and enjoy the gym!

@aimi_b The way you "start" is to purchase a food scale. While you're at the store, get some fresh vegetables. When you get home, cook and eat the vegetables. Feel free to have a small piece of some protein. Animal, vegetable, I don't care. Just get protein and bulk. Figure some way of getting a little fat every day. It's both easy to do and mentally pleasing to know that you've taken positive action to provide your body with precise nutrition for optimum performance. When you go a whole day without eating something from a single-serve plastic wrapper, you're doing it right. (although there are ways to do it right with single serve plastic wrappers, too).

if you can't stand the notion of giving up unheathy habits, don't. Try to add one new healthy food each week or each day, like a vegetable with breakfast. Arugula loves peanut butter! Who knew?

    Thank you everyone.
I'm struggling aswell with the fact that my partner isn't in the frame of mind to start losing weight.
This has a real effect on me and my eating lifestyle.
    I really need to begin
